Affected dates: 05th June-11th July, 2026
A Coruña station - Galicia region: Due to major infrastructure works being carried out by Adif at A Coruña station as part of the construction of the new terminal, train services connecting A Coruña with Madrid, Santiago de Compostela, Vigo, Ferrol, Lugo and Ourense will be temporarily modified from 5 June to 10 July 2026.
A Coruña – Vigo / Santiago de Compostela:
- From 5 to 25 June 2026, regional train services between A Coruña and Vigo Guixar will be replaced by buses between A Coruña and Santiago de Compostela in both directions.
- From 26 June to 10 July 2026, rail traffic at A Coruña station will be completely suspended. During this period, replacement bus services will operate between A Coruña and Santiago de Compostela for Regional, Media Distancia, Avant, AVE and Avlo services.
A Coruña – Lugo / Ferrol / Ourense:
- From 5 to 25 June 2026, Media Distancia services between A Coruña and Lugo and between A Coruña and Ferrol will be replaced by buses between A Coruña and Betanzos Infesta in both directions.
- From 26 June to 10 July 2026, replacement bus services will continue between A Coruña and Betanzos Infesta for services operating on the A Coruña–Lugo–Monforte–Ourense route and the A Coruña–Ferrol route.
A Coruña – Madrid (AVE & Avlo):
- High-speed services between A Coruña and Madrid will also be affected.
- From 26 June to 10 July 2026, passengers travelling on AVE and Avlo services will be transferred by replacement bus between A Coruña and Santiago de Compostela, where they will continue their journey by train.
- In addition, the Avlo 4597 service from Madrid to A Coruña on 25 June 2026 will operate by road between Santiago de Compostela and A Coruña.
Due to operational requirements related to train positioning following the completion of the works, some early morning services on 11 July 2026 may be subject to timetable changes, revised schedules, or replacement road transport.
- Check before you travel: Please check the Renfe website or app before travelling. Replacement bus services may be in place on some routes.
- Plan ahead: Kindly allow extra time for your journey and consider alternative routes or modes of transport.

Please note that replacement bus services may result in longer journey times, changes to departure or arrival times, and adjustments to intermediate stops.
Which services are affected by the disruption?
Due to the disruption, some Regional, Media Distancia, Avant, AVE and Avlo services will operate with replacement bus transport for part of the journey. Please check your journey details before travelling.
