Affected dates: 15th July, 2026
Due to a strike scheduled for 15 July, called by a minority trade union within the Renfe Group, some train services may be disrupted. To help ensure passengers can continue to travel, the Spanish Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility has established the following minimum service levels:
- Commuter trains: up to 75% of scheduled services
- Medium-distance trains: up to 66% of scheduled services
- High-speed and Long-distance trains: up to 73% of scheduled services
Services not covered by these minimum levels may be delayed or cancelled.
- Check before you travel: Please check the Renfe website or app before travelling. We recommend checking your journey before travelling, as schedules may change.
- Plan ahead: Kindly allow extra time for your journey and consider alternative routes or modes of transport.
- Stay updated: For more updates, please check the Renfe website here or their Twitter and Facebook pages.
If your train is affected, please contact our Customer Service team to request a refund.
Which services are affected by the disruption?
Due to the disruption, many regional and long-distance trains will be cancelled. Please be aware if your train is still running, it might be busier than usual because of the reduced service.
What should you do if you experience a delay?
If you experience a delay, please talk to the staff on the train or at the station. They have the latest information and can tell you what to do.
