SNCB / NS: Strike

Affected date: 9th September 2026

Due to a national strike on 9th September, no international or domestic trains will run in the Netherlands.

Please note: An exception has been made for the Airport Sprinter between Amsterdam Central, Schiphol Airport, and Hoofddorp, which will run on September 9th.

  • Check before you travel: Please search for your train using the SNCB/NS International Journey Planner. Any cancelled or disrupted services will be indicated in the results. We recommend that you check back regularly before you travel.
  • Plan ahead: Kindly allow extra time for your journey and consider alternative routes or modes of transport.
  • Stay updated: For more information about the disruption, please visit the NS website.

Please first check at the station to see whether a replacement bus or metro service is available for your journey.

If no alternative transport is available and your train has been cancelled, please contact our Customer Service team to request a refund or exchange.
