Trenitalia: Engineering Works

Engineering works are taking place on the Naples–Cassino and Caserta–Foggia lines. For more information, we kindly ask that you check the Trenitalia website here. 

The following routes will be affected from the 2nd to the 15th of February:

• Caserta – Foggia from 10:30 a.m. on February 2nd to 3:00 p.m. on February 15th, 2026
  - Frecciarossa and Frecciargento trains on the Rome Termini – Bari Centrale/Lecce, Milan Centrale – Foggia/Lecce, and Turin PN – Benevento – Bari Centrale routes are subject to total and partial cancellations between Caserta and Benevento/Foggia/Bari Centrale/Lecce. Some Frecciarossa and Frecciargento trains are also affected on February 1st. Some trains on February 14th are subject to extended service schedules.
  - Some Intercity trains on the Rome Termini–Taranto route and Intercity Night trains on the Rome Termini–Lecce route are canceled. A replacement bus service is planned for Intercity Night trains on the Rome Termini–Lecce route.
  - Intercity Night train buses stop in the squares in front of the stations with the exception of: Rome Termini Cotral stop at Via Giolitti 10; Caserta Viale Ellittico – Terminal Bus for TPL extra-urban services; Benevento Via Francesco Compagna exit, first platform on the left of the station.
  - Regional trains between Benevento and Caserta are cancelled and replaced with buses. Regional trains between Benevento and Caserta are cancelled entirely and replaced with buses.
  
  
  
• Caserta – Cancello e Cancello – Napoli Centrale from 10:30 a.m. on February 2nd to 3:00 p.m. on February 15th 2026
  Regional trains from Naples Central Station to Cancello and Caserta are cancelled and replaced with buses.
  - Regional trains between Caserta and Salerno and Naples Campi Flegrei and Caserta are partially or completely cancelled and replaced with buses.
  - Regional trains on the Rome Tiburtina/Rome Termini – Naples Central route follow via Aversa instead of via Cancello, do not stop at Marcianise, Caserta, Maddaloni Inferiore and Cancello and have been replaced by buses.
  - Regional trains on the Naples – Vairano/Cassino route follow via Aversa instead of via Cancello, do not stop at Maddaloni Inferiore, Cancello, Acerra, and Casalnuovo, and have been replaced by buses.
  - Regional trains between Piedimonte Matese and Napoli Centrale have been cancelled between S.Angelo in Formis/S.Maria Capua Vetere and Napoli Centrale.
  Gate – Sarno from 00:10 on February 10th to 12:00 on February 12th 2026
  - Regional trains between Caserta and Salerno are partially or completely cancelled between Sarno and Caserta and replaced with buses.

During the disruption, connections between Rome and Benevento will be guaranteed through replacement buses. Please note that bicycles and animals, with the exception of guide dogs, are not permitted on replacement buses.

• Regional, Frecce and IC Trains: Please submit this online form in order to claim a refund.
• Trenord: Please submit this form no later than 48 hours after departure.
