• Train Strike Information and Other Service Disruptions

  • Renfe: Engineering Works

    Affected dates: 05th June - 11th July, 2026

    A Coruña station - Galicia region: Due to major infrastructure works being carried out by Adif at A Coruña station as part of the construction of the new terminal, train services connecting A Coruña with Madrid, Santiago de Compostela, Vigo, Ferrol, Lugo and Ourense will be temporarily modified from 5 June to 10 July 2026.

    A Coruña – Vigo / Santiago de Compostela: 

    • From 5 to 25 June 2026, regional train services between A Coruña and Vigo Guixar will be replaced by buses between A Coruña and Santiago de Compostela in both directions.
    • From 26 June to 10 July 2026, rail traffic at A Coruña station will be completely suspended. During this period, replacement bus services will operate between A Coruña and Santiago de Compostela for Regional, Media Distancia, Avant, AVE and Avlo services.

    A Coruña – Lugo / Ferrol / Ourense: 

    • From 5 to 25 June 2026, Media Distancia services between A Coruña and Lugo and between A Coruña and Ferrol will be replaced by buses between A Coruña and Betanzos Infesta in both directions.
    • From 26 June to 10 July 2026, replacement bus services will continue between A Coruña and Betanzos Infesta for services operating on the A Coruña–Lugo–Monforte–Ourense route and the A Coruña–Ferrol route.

    A Coruña – Madrid (AVE & Avlo):

    • High-speed services between A Coruña and Madrid will also be affected.
    • From 26 June to 10 July 2026, passengers travelling on AVE and Avlo services will be transferred by replacement bus between A Coruña and Santiago de Compostela, where they will continue their journey by train.
    • In addition, the Avlo 4597 service from Madrid to A Coruña on 25 June 2026 will operate by road between Santiago de Compostela and A Coruña.

    Due to operational requirements related to train positioning following the completion of the works, some early morning services on 11 July 2026 may be subject to timetable changes, revised schedules, or replacement road transport.

    • Check before you travel: Please check the Renfe website or app before travelling. Replacement bus services may be in place on some routes.
    • Plan ahead: Kindly allow extra time for your journey and consider alternative routes or modes of transport.

    If you no longer wish to travel due to these disruptions, you can change or cancel your journey. Please contact our Customer Service team for assistance.

    Are there alternative transportation options available?
    Replacement bus services may operate on affected routes. We recommend checking your journey details on the Renfe website or app before travelling, or speaking to station staff for the latest information. Please note that replacement bus services may result in longer journey times, changes to departure or arrival times, and adjustments to intermediate stops.

    Which services are affected by the disruption?
    Due to the disruption, some Regional, Media Distancia, Avant, AVE and Avlo services will operate with replacement bus transport for part of the journey. Please check your journey details before travelling.

    What should you do if your journey is affected?
    If your train is affected by the works, please check with station staff for the latest updates. They can provide information about replacement bus services, revised schedules, and any changes to your journey.

  • Westbahn: Engineering Works

    Affected dates: 01st June - 06th September, 2026

    From 1st June, 2026: Due to timetable changes trains 950 and 957 will not stop in Wels. Trains will only operate between Vienna and Linz.

    From 3rd - 8th June, 2026: Due to construction works by ÖBB Infra, all Westbahn trains travelling between Vienna, Linz and Salzburg will be affected by delays and earlier departure times in the greater Vienna area.

    From 14th June - 6th September, 2026: Due to construction works by ÖBB Infra, trains 921 and 929 will depart up to 20 minutes earlier than scheduled between Saalfelden and Bruck-Fusch.

    From 15th June, 2026: Due to construction works by DB InfraGO, train 968 from Munich will not stop at Munich East.

    From 16th - 17th June, 2026: Due to construction works by DB InfraGO, trains 960, 961 and 965 from Munich will not stop at Munich East.

    From 26th June - 11th September, 2026: Due to construction works by DB InfraGO, train 963 will depart 3 minutes earlier from Stuttgart Hbf.

    From 25th July - 6th September, 2026: Due to construction works by ÖBB Infra, trains 79212, 79214, 79216, 79220, 79222, 79213, 79215, 79219, 79111 and 79223 may be delayed by up to 15 minutes between Kufstein and Innsbruck.

    • Check before you travel: We advise you to check all the Westbahn timetables on this page before your journey.
    • Plan ahead: Kindly allow extra time for your journey and consider alternative routes or modes of transport.

    If your train is cancelled because of the disruption and you haven’t travelled yet, you can use your ticket another time (within 12 months of purchase). Alternatively, you can cancel the ticket on the Your Bookings page and get a full refund.

    If your train is still running and you choose to cancel, your refund will be subject to the normal fare conditions.

  • Trenitalia: Engineering Works

    Affected dates: 22nd May - 21st June, 2026

    Engineering Works on Messina–Palermo: 22 May – 21 June 2026

    Due to scheduled engineering works, train services on selected Trenitalia routes will be subject to timetable changes, route limitations, cancellations, and replacement bus services. The following Intercity and Intercity Night services will be affected on selected dates between 22 May and 21 June 2026:

    • IC 723 Rome Termini – Palermo Centrale: cancelled between Messina Centrale and Palermo Centrale on 22, 23 May and 5, 6, 20 June. Replacement bus service planned.
    • IC 729 Messina Centrale – Palermo Centrale: cancelled and replaced by a bus on 22, 23 May and 5, 6, 20 June.
    • ICN 1955/1957 Rome Termini – Syracuse/Palermo Centrale: Messina Centrale – Palermo section cancelled on 22, 23 May and 5, 6, 20 June. Replacement bus service planned.
    • ICN 1959/1961 Rome Termini – Syracuse/Palermo Centrale: Messina Centrale – Palermo Centrale section cancelled on 22, 23 May and 5, 6, 20 June, with replacement buses operating on 23, 24 May and 6, 7, 21 June.
    • IC 730, IC 736 and ICN 1954, 1964 from Palermo Centrale – Messina Centrale: cancelled and replaced by a bus on 23, 24 May and 6, 7, 21 June.
    • Check before you travel: Replacement bus services may be in place on some routes. Please check at the station for the latest updates, as bus timetables may vary depending on traffic conditions.
    • Plan ahead: Kindly allow extra time for your journey and consider alternative routes or modes of transport.

    Please first check at the station to see if a replacement bus is running for your journey. If no alternative service is available and your train is cancelled, please complete the relevant online form with Trenitalia to request a refund.

    • Regional, Frecce and IC Trains: Please submit this online form in order to claim a refund.
    • Trenord: Please submit this form no later than 48 hours after departure.

    How can I see if my train is affected?

    You can search for your train on this page of the Trenitalia website by entering your train number or departure station. Any cancelled or disrupted services will be indicated in the results. We recommend that you check back regularly before you travel.

    Please be aware that if your train is still running, it might be busier than usual because of the reduced service.

  • Marozzi: Schedule Change

    Affected dates: From 11th May, 2026

    From Monday, 11 May 2026, Marozzi will introduce a timetable change affecting services between Matera and Altamura Bari.

    Routes operating between Matera and Altamura may be subject to updated departure or arrival times.

  • Flibco: Bus Stop Changes

    Affected dates: 06th May - 30th September, 2026

    As of May 6, the Flibco bus stop at Brussels Airport Zaventem (BRU) has been temporarily relocated due to operational changes. This temporary stop will remain in place until September 30.
