Trenitalia: Strikes & Engineering Works
Affected dates: 22nd May - 21st June, 2026
Strike Nationwide: 28th May - 29th May 2026
A national strike by staff of the FS Group, Trenitalia, Trenitalia Tper and Trenord is expected to impact train services from 9:00 PM on Thursday, 28 May to 9:00 PM on Friday, 29 May 2026. During this time, trains may be subject to delays, changes or cancellations.
- Guaranteed long-haul train services (EuroCity, InterCity, InterCity Notte and Frecce) can be found here.
- Regional trains (Trenitalia, Trenitalia Tper) are guaranteed only during weekday peak hours:
- Morning: 06:00 am - 09:00 am
- Evening: 06:00 pm - 09:00 pm
Engineering Works on Messina–Palermo: 22 May – 21 June 2026
Due to scheduled engineering works, train services on selected Trenitalia routes will be subject to timetable changes, route limitations, cancellations, and replacement bus services. The following Intercity and Intercity Night services will be affected on selected dates between 22 May and 21 June 2026:
- IC 723 Rome Termini – Palermo Centrale: cancelled between Messina Centrale and Palermo Centrale on 22, 23 May and 5, 6, 20 June. Replacement bus service planned.
- IC 729 Messina Centrale – Palermo Centrale: cancelled and replaced by a bus on 22, 23 May and 5, 6, 20 June.
- ICN 1955/1957 Rome Termini – Syracuse/Palermo Centrale: Messina Centrale – Palermo section cancelled on 22, 23 May and 5, 6, 20 June. Replacement bus service planned.
- ICN 1959/1961 Rome Termini – Syracuse/Palermo Centrale: Messina Centrale – Palermo Centrale section cancelled on 22, 23 May and 5, 6, 20 June, with replacement buses operating on 23, 24 May and 6, 7, 21 June.
- IC 736 Palermo Centrale – Messina Centrale: cancelled and replaced by a bus on 23, 24 May and 6, 7, 21 June.
- IC 730 Palermo Centrale – Messina Centrale: cancelled and replaced by a bus on 23, 24 May and 6, 7, 21 June.
- ICN 1964 Palermo Centrale – Messina Centrale: cancelled and replaced by a bus on 23, 24 May and 6, 7, 21 June.
- ICN 1954 Palermo Centrale – Messina Centrale: cancelled and replaced by a bus on 23, 24 May and 6, 7, 21 June.
- Check before you travel: Replacement bus services may be in place on some routes. Please check at the station for the latest updates, as bus timetables may vary depending on traffic conditions.
- Plan ahead: Kindly allow extra time for your journey and consider alternative routes or modes of transport.

Please first check at the station to see if a replacement bus is running for your journey. If no alternative service is available and your train is cancelled, please complete the relevant online form with Trenitalia to request a refund.

You can search for your train on this page of the Trenitalia website by entering your train number or departure station. Any cancelled or disrupted services will be indicated in the results. We recommend that you check back regularly before you travel.
Please be aware that if your train is still running, it might be busier than usual because of the reduced service.

Italo: Strike
Affected dates: 28th - 29th May, 2026
Due to a national rail strike taking place from 09:00 pm on 28 May 2026 to 09:00 pm on 29 May 2026, regional and long-distance train services may be subject to disruptions and cancellations.

Marozzi: Schedule Change
Affected dates: From 11th May, 2026
From Monday, 11 May 2026, Marozzi will introduce a timetable change affecting services between Matera and Altamura Bari.
Routes operating between Matera and Altamura may be subject to updated departure or arrival times.

Flibco: Bus Stop Changes
Affected dates: 06th May-30th September, 2026
As of May 6, the Flibco bus stop at Brussels Airport Zaventem (BRU) has been temporarily relocated due to operational changes. This temporary stop will remain in place until September 30.

Westbahn: Engineering Works
Affected dates: 01st June - 06th September, 2026
From 1st June, 2026: Due to timetable changes trains 950 and 957 will not stop in Wels. Trains will only operate between Vienna and Linz.
From 3rd - 8th June, 2026: Due to construction works by ÖBB Infra, all Westbahn trains travelling between Vienna, Linz and Salzburg will be affected by delays and earlier departure times in the greater Vienna area.
From 14th June - 6th September, 2026: Due to construction works by ÖBB Infra, trains 921 and 929 will depart up to 20 minutes earlier than scheduled between Saalfelden and Bruck-Fusch.
From 15th June, 2026: Due to construction works by DB InfraGO, train 968 from Munich will not stop at Munich East.
From 16th - 17th June, 2026: Due to construction works by DB InfraGO, trains 960, 961 and 965 from Munich will not stop at Munich East.
From 26th June - 11th September, 2026: Due to construction works by DB InfraGO, train 963 will depart 3 minutes earlier from Stuttgart Hbf.
From 25th July - 6th September, 2026: Due to construction works by ÖBB Infra, trains 79212, 79214, 79216, 79220, 79222, 79213, 79215, 79219, 79111 and 79223 may be delayed by up to 15 minutes between Kufstein and Innsbruck.

If your train is cancelled because of the disruption and you haven’t travelled yet, you can use your ticket another time (within 12 months of purchase). Alternatively, you can cancel the ticket on the Your Bookings page and get a full refund.
If your train is still running and you choose to cancel, your refund will be subject to the normal fare conditions.

SNCF: Engineering Works
Affected dates: 11th April-7th June, 2026
Gare de Lyon: Due to planned signalling works between 30 April and 3 May 2026, TGV INOUI, OUIGO and Lyria trains to and from Paris Gare de Lyon will be affected and will run from alternative Paris stations instead.
- On 30 April 2026, from 8:30 PM, TGV services will begin to be progressively rescheduled.
- From 1 May 2026 until 2:00 PM on 3 May 2026, all TGV services will operate from and arrive at alternative Paris stations instead of Paris Gare de Lyon.
- From 2:00 PM on 3 May 2026, normal service to and from Paris Gare de Lyon is expected to resume.
IC Night – Paris to Latour-de-Carol
Traffic is interrupted until further notice due to a landslide between Foix and Ax-les-Thermes. Services on this route are currently not operating.TGV INOUI – France to Italy (Turin to Modane section)
Due to track works, services between Turin and Modane will be interrupted on the following dates. Trains will not run on this section during these periods:- 11–12 April 2026
- 18–19 April 2026
- 15–17 May 2026 (long weekend)
- 6–7 June 2026
TGV Lyria – Paris to Basel / Zurich
Due to planned engineering works, TGV Lyria services will be interrupted on the following weekends. Services will not operate on these dates:- 25–26 April 2026
- 6–7 June 2026

ATVO: Strike
Affected dates: 29th May, 2026
Due to a 24-hour strike on Friday, 29 May 2026, several long-distance and regional bus services may be cancelled or subject to disruption.
- Services will be guaranteed from 6:00 AM to 9:00 AM and from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM.
- Plan ahead: Kindly allow extra time for your journey and consider alternative routes or modes of transport.
- Stay updated: Please check the ATVO website here for more updates.
If your scheduled service has been cancelled due to the disruption, you can cancel your booking up to 24 hours before departure via the Your Bookings page.
After this time, refunds will not be available, according to the ticket conditions.

Comboios de Portugal: Strike
Affected dates: 03rd June, 2026
Due to a nationwide strike called by several unions on 3 June 2026, disruptions and cancellations are expected across train services. Some services may also be affected on the days before and after the strike.
